We dance to foreigners' music, says Marat
A plan for the good governance of PNG

Despite my irregular appearances at the keyboard over the last week or so, the commentators have held the ground secure and PNG ATTITUDE continues to attract its usual quota of around 400 readers each day. Many thanks to all those contributors. The next few days may also be a bit lean as I grace the Channel Islands with my considerably expanding girth - KJ

Warmest thanks for the newsletters you've sent on PNG. They are excellent and very interesting and I greatly appreciate being able to read them. I would certainly like to be linked to a group supportive of PNG.

Congratulations on what you doing and wholehearted support for it and very best wishes.

I agree with Richard - Lisbon has a certain magic about it. Hope you were also able to get to the very ritzy Estoril on the Atlantic coast. That place was a real eye-opener. Not too much of that Bordeaux vino, I hope?

Colin, as you would appreciate, I`m running on Chablis, Sancerre and Pouilly Fume - KJ

Love Lisbon, Keith. We were there, with family, about 18 months ago.

I know it's one of the PIIGS (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain) causing the EU all the current financial worries, but the people are delightful.

Not far out of Lisbon is the hilly little town of Sintra. Delightful spot. Could be starting to get a bit touristy as the weather warms up. Nevertheless, well worth at least a day trip.

Hi KJ,

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Hi KJ, how is Spain or are you just leaving Portugal? Hope you are having a great time in the land of the gypsies. I passed through that part of the country some years back and loved the seafood in Seville (southern Spain).

I did not like the blood sport like the spanniard's love of bull-fighting where poor old El Toro meets a gory end. What a silly sport. Its like cock-fighting in the philipines. Great cruelty to the poor animals making money by the humans though betting/gambling.

What I really like about Spain (apart from their beautiful farer-sex like the latin american kind) is taking time in the evenings at the local flamenco clubs to watch the flanmenco dances and music in Madrid. My trip was too short and I hope I visit there one day when I am old and rich (probably wishful thinking).

Hope the professor records his exploits in the phantom chronicles when he returns to base and tables a regular report of proceedings in the PNG Attitude. I am looking forward to reading the KJ versions of an unlikely Aussie adventurer in the land of the Don Q.

That's funny, problems in Viva Espana? Try a bull fight, KJ, they are quite stimulating and also quick kills. Stirs the blood.

I hope we can see, eventually, a report on your trip? Have fun in Espana and give my regards to Rafa and the Spanish contingent at Roland Garros in Paris.

One hopes that Sam Stosur can rise to her first Grand Slam. Hopefully for you, the next stop is Paris and Roland Garros?

Been there, Colin. Max temperature 9 degrees - good place to stay away from - KJ
