PNG-BORN Will Genia will captain Australia in the Rugby World Cup game against the United States in Wellington tonight.
Genia, 23, became Australia’s 78th test captain when the selectors chose to rest skipper James Horwill who has shoulder soreness.
As the Wallabies recover from a 6-15 loss to Ireland, Genia is confident Australia can win the World Cup.
He told journalists: “I don’t see why not. We’ve lost one game. We’re not out of it yet.”
Good on ya, Will! That's the spirit. Yes, I would like to see Will captain the Australian side against the USA.
I am forecasting that the Wallabies will be in the finals of the Rugby World Cup with the All Blacks and the Springboks.
May the best team win on the day...
