Are we talking polygamy; or are we talking property?

Tracing relatives of the late cartoonist Bob Browne

ALEX GOLUB

I WAS WONDERING if PNG Attitude readers could help me out with a Papua New Guinea expatriate question.

I'm publishing a book on Porgera with Duke University Press and I'd like to reprint a cartoon by the late Bob Browne.

In order to do so, the press wants me to contact Browne's estate or next of kin to get permission to use the image.

Do you have any sense of who that would be or how I could get in touch with them?

Thanks for your help,

I too am looking to contact someone who can give permission for me to use a Grassroots Comic Company greetings card, in my linguistics textbook now in production: 'The History of Late Modern Englishes'.

I want it as an example of Tok Pisin. I have tried in vain to find someone who can help. I've tried the email address given in an earlier similar enquiry - [email protected] (for Larry George) - but this seems no longer in use. If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful.

Hi Alex, just read your letter on Keith Jackson's website.

Maybe you could get in contact with Bob's wife (Segi)
through Larry George whose email is: [email protected]

Bob was associated with Larry for a long time and I am sure he will be able to help.
_________

Thanks Slim - KJ
