The drawing shows an artist or illustrator trying to kill a crocodile. He thrusts his pen into the mouth and drowns it in a river. The river represents the poems, essays and stories of all you writers.
The crocodile is swimming to the shore
it is carrying gold and silver
the one everyone wants to take.
Kill it and cut off his head! don’t you see
for its head is worth thousands
like the head of a boar
on a red note in your wallet
All you warriors come to the shore
thrust your weapon into its mouth
you that paint with a pen and
drown it in the mighty river of tales
from the land and songs from the heart.
Kill it, while there is still day
for night will creep upon your path
and the crocodile will be gone again
