Ekio Taitaito – an introduction to the moon
The PNG-Australia relationship: threat to one; threat to the other

It takes two things for employment

REILLY KANAMON

A paper with a college stamp
A bachelor’s degree
Attractive curriculum vitae,
Yet it is not enough for a corporate job
Although he is a Papua New Guinean by birth
He needs two more things to qualify
A wantok in the office or bel kol money
No wantok, no bel kol money
And Petrus is a uni graduate and full time street youth

Andrew comes along
No college papers, no reference
A handshake under the table is enough for a job
He is employed, he is off the street
Save pes and bel kol money was all it required
An interview with a handshake under the table
Behind closed door, a dead conscience at work
Now we have an asset on the street
And garbage in the office
All that follows are pests to feed on the garbage.
