Reader seeks to buy copy of old PNG land purchase manual

Sirinumu Dam todayARTHUR SMEDLEY

I’M WANTING to purchase a copy of a land investigation and acquisition manual written by Bill McGrath in 1964.

Through the Ex-Kiap website I have been able to locate two copies that I have the opportunity to photocopy.

However they are not for sale and I would like to purchase my own copy if anyone has one they no longer wish to keep.

I understand Bill McGrath had worked with Ivan Champion when he was Land Titles Commissioner and may have written the manual about that time. Bill also did most if not all the investigations for the purchase of land for the Sirinumu Dam (pictured).

The full title of the manual is: ‘Notes for the Guidance of Administration Officers Engaged in the Investigation of Rights to Native Land and Purchase of Native Land’ (W.A. McGrath, May 1964).

Would anyone who may have this manual and wishes to sell it, or would readers have any other suggestions on how I may locate a copy for sale?
