Enlightening Light
05 October 2016
An entry in the 2016 Crocodile Prize
There is a light
Its source, a burning oil
It lights out of generosity
Of the good will of a divine heart.
This light glows in the presence of darkness
And it subdues the strength of darkness.
I longed for this light,
I wished that it could shine in me also
And today it has shown up!
I embraced it cheerfully
As a pretty girl or a precious jewel,
Its beauty is astounding.
I see it generates rainbow colours
And produces different rays
Such as not seen before.
It is worth more than money could ever buy
And wealth cannot be measured with it.
Riches evaporate as dew in its presence.
It fills the vacuum in me
And I am delighted.
I glance at it day by day
Every moment I turn my eyes
To a new phase of its essence
That evokes a sense of bonding
With the Enlightening Light of Jehovah.
