Coronavirus Pandemic

CoronavirusSTEPHANIE ALOIS

Panic’s in the atmosphere
Freakish reaction everywhere
How did it get here?
In a tropical paradise
I’m feeling paralysed

All these rumours,
Online updates,
Telephone calls
All speaking the same language
Coronavirus pandemic!

Pain in the hearts of mothers
Frustration in the eyes of fathers
Why does it have to be my family?
In a country with Christianity and love
I’m expecting an answer from above

All this pressure,
Preventative measure,
And assurance
All speaking the same language
Coronavirus pandemic!

Pacify upset inhabitants
Facilitate worried students
Which of you has influence?
In a country with democracy
Dependent on government decisions

Historical awareness,
Health awareness,
Political awareness
All speaking the same language
Coronavirus pandemic!

I like this:

"In a tropical paradise
I’m feeling paralysed"

It reminds me of some images in my head while writing We are dying one by one.

Although my piece was of a different shade.

There's an interesting question too:

"Which of you has influence?
In a country with democracy
Dependent on government decisions"

Surely in this scenario it seems that the biological universe is reflecting human society and Corona virus is not the only pandemic sweeping the world.

I suspected as much in my poem Wanpela dei tasol.
