An open letter to our Pacific friends
Marape: Bougainville independence ‘biggest issue’

A thought for all eventualities

Fallen Leaf (Simon Pentanu)

SIMON PENTANU

Mountains may fall,
Hills may be no more
Oceans may evaporate,
but the seas keep rising.

A man he quickly comes and goes,
A woman she always lasts and stays.
We will always bear,
be born and die,
but keep multiplying unabated.

The sky is the limit
but space is vast and empty,
The day of reckoning is nigh
but the heavens won't fall.
