KAINANTU - K92 Mining has donated K100,000 to Femili PNG to support its work in eradicating family and sexual violence in Papua New Guinea.

‘’We have been in operation for four years and, for us as a new company, we want to be able to support social issues and agendas,” said K92 vice-president Philip Samar.

“We can do so by collaboration with Femili PNG, given what Femili PNG has done with the number of people helped.”

“We appreciate what Femili PNG is doing is not obligation, but it continues to fill this gap.”

“Violence requires collective efforts from partners - everyone – and it’s good to have K92 Mining come on board to push this agenda,” said Femili PNG’s Jonica Jay.

“This donation will go towards supporting Femili PNG and we look forward to working with K92 Mining through its community engagements.”

Femili PNG and K92 Mining are discussing building partnerships with other organisations in Eastern Highlands Province to further assist family and sexual violence survivors.
