NOOSA - The dateline tells you we're back in Noosa after one of those nightmare trips you'd want to forget except for the fund of future yarns it will yield.
I was discharged from the France-Vietnam Hospital in Saigon on Monday after a week in situ with sepsis, which triggered a bunch of other unpleasantness around the body.
Some of the details even made my GP, usually so composed, appear bemused.
But now's the time for apologies and a promise to make up time when the opportunity arises over the next week or so.
Meanwhile the weather in Noosa is sublime. As am I.
Really really good, Keith not yet mythed.

Keith, may your recent experience make you stronger. And may you continue your good work.

G'day, Keith. We Capricornians are survivors.
Had a session with Sepsis back in late November 2019.
It happened at the then-new Palmerston Hospital, where they picked it up during scheduled blood tests and caught it in the first hour. Three days later, they let me go home.
I still get nightmares, and slightly reduced blood circulation in my left leg, where it occurred. Take care. Slantie.

I was totally enjoying Bernard's political diatribe too.

Glad you made it back. I expect you were pumped full of every antibiotic known until your blood count returned to normal.
I was resorting to the P&I, Counterpunch and Declassified Australia blogs, which always publish interesting articles, but I find the PNG Attitude site much more appealing and sociable. The writing is often reminiscent of the late Alan Sillitoe.

PS - Bernard, could you resend your excellent Australian right wing politics piece that I decided to serialise? It has been lost in the tangle of my recent life and a recalcitrant (now suitably straitened) tablet PC - KJ
